This property is a sizeable terraced, 2 storey town house in Arenal Den Castell in the Es Mercadal region in the North East of Menorca Island. It is just 25 minutes drive from the airport and the capital Mahon so only a short transfer. There are Sea Views from the 1st floor of the house which is just a 3 minute walk to one of the most stunning beaches in Menorca which boats crystal turquoise waters and pale sand. On the ground floor there is a patio area to the front of the property with a masonry BBQ and a dining area and a small gravel garden to the rear of the house. Inside on the same level there are 2 bedrooms with a further bedroom with bunk beds which is accessed through the master bedroom with doors and curtains to separate them so ideal for small children and also gives the double room privacy. There are two bathrooms on the ground floor with showers and a toilet in each. Stairs from the hallway go straight into the lounge on the first floor which is double aspect with a balcony to the front with stunning Sea views and a further balcony area at the back of the property. The lounge area includes a wood burner for out of Summer Season comfort and a TV with DVD player and a DVD library. There is a small kitchen at the front of the house and towards the rear is a 3rd bathroom with shower and toilet and an attached laundry room with washing machine and a tumble dryer.
There are small supermarkets and great restaurants in Arenal and surrounding areas which are open from April through to the end of October. For out of season visits, there are shops and restaurants a short drive away in near by towns and cities.
There are beautiful walks in the area and all the way round the Island. Menorca is also great for keen cyclists especially outside of high season.
The house is located close to a local hotel and like most holiday resorts on the Island, in high Season there is sometimes atmospheric music playing which can be heard form the house.

Direcciones
By Car (we recommend to book in advance with Rentalcars.com for many car company offers)
• Drive out of the airport car park where you have to go left onto ME-12
• Get into the left lane and go straight on at the roundabout where the point sculpture is in the middle of the roundabout, it should be sign posted Es Mercadal or Fornells
• Go straight over the next mini roundabout and then at the end of that road turn right onto ME-1
• Continue on here for a short period, when the road splits from the oncoming traffic get into left lane and turn left onto RM signposted Es Mercadal or Fornells. You will see a petrol garage make sure you are driving straight on down the hill so the petrol garage is on your right
• This road then goes down and round until you get to another mini roundabout
Turn left at this roundabout onto ME-7 towards Fornells and Es Mercadal
• Stay on this road all the way for about 20 minutes until you get to a roundabout.
• Turn right onto ME-9 sign posted Arenal D’en Castell/Addaia
• At next roundabout take 3rd exit onto Carrer de Sa Marina towards Arenal D’en Castell (not Cala Moli or Na Macaret)
• When you see the P. Pons Perfume gift shop on your left, turn left onto Av de S’Arenal into Arenal D’en Castell
• Follow this road and there are four terraced villas on your left just after the unfinished villas. It is Number 33-2 with the palm tree right in front of it. You can park in a space in the front of the property.
By Taxi:
Just jump in a taxi outside the arrivals terminal and tell them to take you to Arenal D’en Castell on Ave de S’Arenal. Number 33-2, which is the first habited properties on the left. Look for a row of 4 terraced villas with a palm tree out the front. To book a return taxi call: 00 34 971 367 111

Arenal Den Castell is a small, beautiful and quiet resort. It is perfect for any age group but is especially appealing for families. Everything in Arenal is walkable from the house, the resort centre has good restaurants a few bars and small supermarkets and gifts shops. The nearest Beach is less than 5 minutes walk from the house, it is also one of the most beautiful and family friendly beaches on the Island with turquoise water and pale sand. It is a small resort with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

Política de Reserva
Generally check in is 2pm and check out is 10am so we can get the house cleaned and changed over ready for the next guests, particularly in busy Seasons when change overs are on the same day. This can be extended on request so please just contact me and if we can, we will oblige.
Outdoor cushions to go on the dining chairs and wall on the front balcony, are in the brown wardrobe next to the main ground floor bathroom. Please put them out for your comfort but please bring them in to keep them dry, if it rains, which hopefully it won’t, and please also bring them inside at the end of your trip.
BBQ
The masonry BBQ on the front terrace can be used at your will. Please purchase your own coal or wood from one of the local Supermarkets. There is a tray to cook the food on, hanging up on the wall in the kitchen. Please clean the tray between uses.
Towels
We provide bathroom, if you wish to wash them during your trip then there is a washing machine in the utility room in the upstairs bathroom but please stick to a 30 degree setting for environmental consideration also please DO NOT USE the Tumble Dryer. There is a washing line on the back balcony on the 1st floor, and pegs in the laundry room to hang them up to dry. We unfortunately do not provide beach towels so please bring your own beach towels or you can purchase them at one of the many Supermarkets and shops either in the resort of surrounding areas.
Bedding and Laundry
Laundry of the bedding is included in your weekly tariff so fresh bedding is already on the beds made up for you on your arrival and then laundered by us on your exit so no need for you to wash them at the end of your trip. You are welcome to use the washing machine though if you wish to wash the bedding or indeed your own laundry during your stay.
There is a Pushchair in the cupboard under the stairs, which you are welcome to use. There is a high chair for feeding babies and toddlers in the laundry room on top of the Tumble Dryer.
If you prefer your children to eat and drink from plastic dining sets, then there are plates, bowls and cups, in kitchen cupboards under the sink.
We kindly ask that you could supervise young children at all times if they go onto the 1st Floor patio as there are high stools which you may deem inappropriate for their use.
The windows at the back of the house downstairs and in the upstairs bathroom, open two ways. So if you would prefer a small opening for safety, pull the handle up and you can just open the top section.
Beach Brollies/parasols
Please help yourself to brollies in the outdoor chest on the front terrace, to take down to the beach.
Home Entertainment
There are DVD’s in the black case on the white shelf above the TV so please borrow them if you fancy catching a movie. simply select the media button on the remote control.
We have provided a portable blue tooth speaker in the lounge area so please load up your mobile phones with your favourite music and connect to the speaker via Blue Tooth to listen to it. Please do not remove this speaker from the house, but of course you may take it onto the terraces.
Kitchen
There is a plug in electric hob on the side and if you need it there is a portable oven in the kitchen cupboard on the right as you walk into the kitchen. We do not have a built-in cooker at the moment, it is in our plans to complete in the near future so apologies for this temporary solution. All cutlery and crockery are situated in the cupboard under the sink. Chopping knives are also located there.
There is a Nespresso coffee machine in the kitchen, which includes a milk frother. Please bring you favourite Nespresso pods with you so you can enjoy a great mug of coffee however you like it. Please keep the coffee machine clean.
General house keeping
There is a stop cock to the rear of the block of properties behind villa 33-4, it is down some steps into the cellar and is to the left on the wall, just simply turn the handle. All the stopcocks are labelled with relevant villa number.
When you come back from the beach, please could you wash your feet using the outside tap before entering the apartment. We love the sand but just not in the house. ; )
If anything is broken in the apartment in your time there, please just let us know, accidents happen so do not be afraid to tell us. We may just ask for the monetary value of the broken item or retain the damage deposit so we can replace it.
If it rains heavily, hopefully it won’t, then please can you bring any outside cushions inside or pop them in the outdoor chest until the rain stops. In the words of Mary Berry, we don’t want any soggy bottoms.
Please just close the shutters and lock them when you go out. No need to shut the glass windows in the Summer months, as you will need air to get through the shutters unless you are cold or it is raining of course.
Key on exit
On exit at the end of your trip, please lock the front door and place the key back into the secure key box and spin the number barrel so it is inaccessible and the code is hidden.
